Brendan’s top tips on getting stuck in Adelaide

Brendan’s top tips on getting stuck in Adelaide

Tip 1. Get your 4WD defected by the South Australian transport authority.

You might remember this post, The Mighty (and slightly abused) Patrol   where I extolled the virtues of our trusty Nissan Patrol. Well, none of those virtues let me down.

I took the Patrol to get SA’s equivelent of a NSW rego check (the two are nothing a like and one is about $150 more expensive, even if you don’t get white stickered) only to find out that if you fail the brake test, your car gets defected and you aren’t allowed to drive it, even if you are still registered for a week and a half’.

All’s well that ends well though, the Patrol was only defected for about 3 1/2 hours, and is now back on the road, fully infected, or affected or refected or something like that. I still haven’t passed rego, but that’s a whole other story.

Untill next time

Wow – glad that you’re back on the road safely. That sounds like it was a bit of a scary nuisance. 🙁

Hope you guys are doing well now though. Speak to you soon. 🙂

    Rach.
